Coram is the UK’s longest-serving children’s charity, having been established in 1739, as the Foundling Hospital by Captain Thomas Coram. We aim to help give children the best possible start in life and have been finding new ways to help them for over 275 years.Today, we are a group of charities and charitable companies and have a strong reputation within the children’s care sector. Coram is a leader in adoption and fostering, children’s health education and reading volunteers, therapy, child and family law, advocacy for those in and leaving care.We also have an in-house academic team and we promote best practice to government, local authorities, other children’s organisations and professionals.
Coram’s Fundraising Team raises some £5 million for the charity each year and will shortly commence Phase 4 of its campus development appeal programme. The Trusts and Foundations team operates across the Coram group, raising the funds needed to increase our direct delivery and impact for children. This is the lead specialist in the fundraising team, responsible for ensuring that income from trusts and foundations is maximised and relationships and programmes strengthened across the group.
The purpose of the Head of Trusts and Foundations role will be to lead the development and deliver of a seven figure income from new and existing trusts and foundations and grow multi-year support.
