The following role is part of Coram-i, part of the Coram group, which works with local authorities to improve the services they provide for looked after children. Independent Social Worker
Willing to travel around London and the South East of England.
Advertised Salary: £2,200 per assessment (including panel attendance), £300 per case handed over to supervising social worker, £950 per incomplete assessment.
We are looking for an accomplished and motivated individual who is able to complete high quality initial assessments and Form F assessments of prospective foster carers within a reasonable time frame.
You will be able to write reports of the quality required by Fostering Panels, including a critical analysis of the prospective carers’ capacity to provide a nurturing home to a looked after child, and professionally present your report to Panel.
You will be able to support prospective carers in their training and learning as part of the assessment process, as well as preparing them for Panel.
To succeed it is essential that you have:
-Social work qualification and HCPC registration
-Knowledge of statutory children’s social work, including looked after children and fostering
-Effective communication and presentation skills
