Coram Voice exists to enable and equip children and young people to hold the system to account, to challenge and support it to do its job properly and to uphold the rights of children and young people to actively participate in shaping their own lives.

Coram Voice holds the advocacy contract for Norfolk County Council and is looking for a new advocate to join its established team. The service provides advocacy to children and young people who are looked after and leaving care and also to those who are involved in child protection procedures.

Advocates will be required to support children and young people in a range of settings and locations within and outside the Norfolk County borders. Applicants will therefore need to work with a degree of flexibility to accommodate short notice referrals and changing circumstances which occur in children’s lives.

We are particularly looking to recruit advocates in the Kings Lynn area and also those with experience and/or interest in working with children and young people with a range of disabilities

Coram Voice is looking for a wide variety of people to take on our roles, however we would particularly welcome applications from care leavers or individuals with experience of being ‘looked after’ by the state. We are also actively encouraging applicants from Asian, African and Caribbean backgrounds to join our team. We recognise we are a predominantly white workforce and are genuinely committed to encouraging candidates from diverse communities in order to improve the services to the children and young people we help.
