Location:   Home based- Midlands Salary:   £25,000 pro rata (term time only) Closing Date:   31/05/2019

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (Term Time)

Coram is seeking an event co-ordinator to support the Activity Days team.

Activity Days provide a unique family finding opportunity for approved adopters and foster carers to directly meet children and young people who are waiting for a permanent family. A real emphasis is placed on the preparation of those attending as well as making sure that the events are meticulously planned, comply with safeguarding requirements and above all that the days are fun!

Following the recent Channel Four TV Documentary Finding Me a Family and increased awareness and profile this Coram team is keen to recruit to this unique role which affords an opportunity to develop event management skills and to attend activity days and be able to interact with children, adopters, foster carers and professionals.

About the Role

This home based role will involve an element of travel throughout the UK, some weekend working and the undertaking of tasks that require a good level of physical mobility. Being able to drive a rental van to events is also a requirement (training and support would be available). Due to our business needs we have a preference for the successful candidate to be based in the Midlands region of England.

The Activity Days team is a small, established team who would welcome the opportunity to support a new team member to become familiar with the tasks and expectations that come with this exciting role.

This is a term time role which is to commence on 1st September 2019
