About the role

We are looking for an immigration & asylum solicitor to join our experienced and friendly team.

The successful candidate will have conduct of and be responsible for a caseload of immigration, asylum and associated human rights law matters concerning young people, children and their carers and to provide high quality legal advice, assistance and representation to clients through casework. They should be able to demonstrate a solid commitment to upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people.

Our immigration lawyers work closely with colleagues in other teams in the Legal Practice Unit (community care, family and education law), as well as with other departments within the Coram group, including Coram Voice and the Migrant Children’s Project. As well as conducting casework for individuals, our immigration & asylum team undertakes strategic litigation for the wider benefit of children, young people and families, and has participated in several interventions in the higher courts.

This is a full-time and permanent position. We welcome applications from solicitors at different stages of their careers provided that they have significant experience (ideally 3 years+) of conducting immigration & asylum cases, including at judicial review level.
