Coram is committed to improving the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people. We support children and young people from birth to independence, creating a change that lasts a lifetime.
Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity founded by Thomas Coram in London helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739. Today, the Coram group helps more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year by providing access to the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.
About Coram Voice
Coram Voice is part of the Coram Group of charities. We are a leading children’s rights organisation. We champion the rights of children. We get young voices heard in decisions that matter to them and work to improve the lives of children in care, care leavers and others who depend upon the help of the state.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Coram Voice as an Associate (self-employed) Safety Net Advocate. Our Safety Net advocates help us deliver our Always Heard service and provide advocacy support for young people unable to access local advocacy. Advocates also support young people who we are assisting through our homelessness and other children’s rights projects.
We are looking for talented children’s rights champions who can provide critical advocacy support over the phone, and using video and messaging apps for young people who need it.
This is a pivotal role as we develop and expand our capacity to support children and young people across the country.
You will need to be innovative and constantly strive to find new ways to transform the lives of young people. You will be joining a highly committed and well supported team who are working together to champion the rights of children and young people.
