At Coram we know that having a workforce with a rich mix of backgrounds, knowledge, abilities and skills enhances our ability to deliver high quality services to the broadest range of children, young people and families.
We aim to build and maintain a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we work in and that is diverse in their age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, religion and any other forms of identity.
Our commitment to diversity is embedded in all we do at Coram. We strive to create a working environment which is welcoming to all and where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
To ensure we understand the demographics of our workforce, we conduct an Annual Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) report which includes gender and ethnicity pay gap analysis and details our EDI Action Plan.
All staff are encouraged to participate in our Development and Inclusion Forum which creates a platform for discussion, learning and celebration.
We work hard to ensure we adopt an inclusive recruitment approach by using an anonymous recruitment process, striving to have diverse shortlisting and interview panels and ensuring that our recruitment process is accessible for all.
Our EDI Training & Workshops aim to increase knowledge, raise awareness and understanding and overcome stigma.
We encourage a culture where staff feel able to openly and safely discuss issues that impact their personal and professional lives.
